| Horsehair Craft Exhibition Hall |
 |
After the Mongolians occupied Jeju, they began to breed horses in the island and the art of horsehair craft began to develop. The art of horsehair craft which used to be one of the major revenue sources of women in Jeju began to decline when Japan ordered all Korean men to cut their hair and change to modern hairstyle and only a small number of traditional Korean artisans are trying to keep the heritage going. Horsehair craft is one of the official intangible cultural properties in Korea.

This boat had been long made of the Fir tree that is found only on the Halla Mountain, but later had been made of cryptomeria imported from the nearby Tsusima Island of Japan. |
